Welcome to Matusadona Bush Camps

Matusadona Bush Camps offer an intimate and secluded retreat for nature enthusiasts in two different, remote areas of the park depending on the season. These tented camps celebrate the essence of traditional safaris, providing a private, bespoke adventure deep in the heart of the wilderness. Hosted by Zimbabwe’s renowned professional guides and local staff, the camps adapt to the seasons, ensuring guests experience the best of Matusadona’s diverse landscapes.

During the dry months, the camp is set inland at the confluence of the untamed Jenje and Biriwiri rivers under towering trees with views over the dry riverbed and onto a spring frequented by many wildlife species. There is a pride of resident lion that like to hang out occasionally in camp! As the green season approaches, the camp relocates to the baobab groves of Shenga Bay, offering breathtaking views over Lake Kariba’s legendary waters and the floodplains teeming with game.

Operated directly by the park, the Matusadona Bush Camps provide an unparalleled opportunity to immerse oneself in the untouched wilderness. This unique setup allows visitors to experience the raw beauty of Matusadona National Park while supporting its conservation efforts, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
